Our Story
The church began just a few blocks away from it's current location in 1924 on Kentucky Street in Johnson City, Tennessee. The congregation grew and began meeting in “Webs Store” on the corner of Bert and Colorado Street in the Keystone addition. The founding pastor was Rev. William Frank Taylor who served from 1924 to 1933. The current sanctuary, with it's many upgrades and additions, was built in the early 1940's. First Free Will Baptist Church was one of the first Free Will Baptist Churches in Tennessee to average over 300 in Sunday Morning service for one year. This church seeks to be a soul saving station! There is a place for you here! Come be a part of the next chapter of our story, God still has great things in store for His church!
